Dear Families, Sept.29th - Oct.2nd

We are entering the 2nd week of Community Workers. We had fun last week learning all about doctors, dentists, and hairstylists, with a special visit from one of our own parents, who played 3 roles..hairstylist, police officer, and construction worker!
Here is a Peek of the Week...

Monday- There will be no school due to Teacher Work Day 9/29

Tuesday- Police Day- We will be learning new vocab about police, and watch a skit put on by the N.V. staff.

Wednesday- We continue to learn about police and will have fun playing Red Light-Green Light while we give out tickets for not following the rules. We will make some yummy edible stoplights.

Thursday- Firefighter Day- We might have a visit from the local firefighters! We will role play the proper action to take in case there is a fire in the home, and learn that our firefighters help to keep us safe.

Friday-Artist Day- Today we will have a special visit from an artist. The students will have a chance to use their creativity for expression, while we learn about mixing paints, and displaying our artwork for others to enjoy!

Show and Tell
**Please have your child bring in things that are connected with our theme. The children get so excited with Show and Tell as they get the opportunity to use their language to describe what they are hiding in their bag, or backpack. Thanks for all you do to help your child learn!

Community Workers

Hello Families! Sept. 21st- 25th
We have now experienced 2 weeks of school and the students are getting use to a routine. We continue to talk about the Northern Voices rules and how to treat our friends. It is exciting to hear the little voices in the hallway chatting away and exchanging hugs as they transition from class to pull- out therapy.
As we move along in our learning journey we will be looking at different roles of people we see in our Community.
Here is a Peek of the Week
