Dear Families,
As we are moving into a new month with the anticipation of Spring, we are grateful for the outdoors, and being able to capture with our senses the new growth. This is a time to get the children excited to see birds and other little creatures come to life!

Under the Big Top
Welcome to the Circus!!
We had fun last week introducing the vocabulary words and the whole idea of a circus. Some children have not had the opportunity of experiencing the circus, so we are doing our best to have fun at school. Tanya dressed up like a clown last week and the kids all had fun seeing her walk into our classroom!
This week we will continue with the theme. Each day we will have fun with some more learning activities, and on Friday we will end up with acting out the 3 ring circus!
Here is a Peek of the Week....
Monday- We will practice being a lion tamer and animal trainer.
Tuesday- We will create some fun circus animals from our hand prints.
Wednesday- Yum! We will make some monkey bread!
Thursday- We will create a circus train.
Friday- The Circus arrives at Northern Voices!
For Show and Tell-
Please have your children bring in items for the circus. Do you have any special hula hoops, circus animals( plastic or stuffed) , batons, clown costumes, funny wigs, juggling small balls, etc.? Anything would be appreciated. Having specific show and tell items that correlate with the theme help to reinforce our learning experiences.

Under the Big Top
Dear Families,
Ahhh! Spring is in the air! We are all so thankful to have the warm up and look forward to brighter days ahead! As we move forward, we can see progress in our students. They are becoming more confident with their conversational skills, and love to learn new things!
Asking questions, especially the whys? and what do you think will happen if..? are some of the higher level interrogatives that allow children to use their critical thinking skills paired up with language to express their thoughts.
