Hello Families!
We are off to a good start! Our first week with the new students went smoothly and I am thrilled to have a class full of enthusiastic little spirits!
We continue to get to know each other and learn the Northern Voices Rules.
These are eyes watching, mouth quiet, ears listening, hands and feet to self, take turns, walk in school.
We learned about the school environment and took a tour of the school as we searched for the Gingerbread Man!
This week we are learning about our bodies and what makes us so special.
Here is a Peek of the Week
Monday- We will trace our bodies on butcher paper and as we learn about the color of our skin, eyes, and hair. Don't be surprised if your child chooses green to color their hair!
Tuesday- We will create a delicious Pizza Face!
Wednesday- We will have fun tracing our feet and hands and seeing all the different sizes.
Thursday- We will create just our faces using different materials to add to our uniqueness.
Friday- We will learn how to wash a baby as we label all the body parts.
For Show and Tell- Please have your child bring in either a photo of themselves when they were a baby, or a family photo. Photos make for some wonderful Conversational language!
Here is the vocab for this week: nostrils, waist, eyebrows, eyelashes, body, chest, neck, hand, chin, feet, fingernails, toes, dimple, tongue, teeth, shoulder, elbow, nose, thumb, hair, face, belly button, knees, hips, knuckles, arm, ear, and eyes,
