Winter Olympics

Hello Families!
We are going with our new theme which seems so appropriate for this time of year! We will have fun learning about the Winter Olympics! With our fresh snow on the ground and the enthusiasm of bright young minds, anything is possible! Perhaps we have some young Olympians in our N.V. school!
The students are doing great, and for the last 2 weeks, our kids learned so much about Nursery Rhymes. We will now focus on a new theme, new vocabulary and new learning...Let the Games Begin!

Tuesday- The teachers will introduce the Olympics in a skit.

Wednesday-We will make flags of the different countries.

Thursday-We will make an Olympic Torch.

Friday- We will march around in the Opening Ceremony!

Vocabulary will include these words: Olympic rings, bobsled, torch, Canadian flag, American flag, speed skating, goggles, curling, Olympic medals, ski lift, figure skating, luge, ice rink, downhill skiing, snowboarding, ice hockey, cross-country skiing.

Show and Tell- Please have your child bring in anything that pertains to the vocab and theme. Thanks for all you do to help with your child's education!

Tuesday- Sanjay and Deyon
Wednesday- Linnea and Ella
Thursday- Sadie and Levi
