Nursery Rhymes

Dear Families,
We had such a great couple of weeks with the kids as we learned about Malls and shopping! Don't be surprised if your child asks for the car keys and the credit card!
We are now heading into learning about Nursery Rhymes.
Our next two weeks we will learn how to recite some simple nursery rhymes and act them out, as well as make a book that your child can bring home.
Here is a Peek of the Week:
Monday: We will read the story of Jack Be Nimble and make the 1st page in our Nursery Rhyme book.

Tuesday: We will have fun making a candlestick and practicing our jumping skills!

Wednesday: We will read the story of Little Miss Muffet and make another page in our books.

Thursday: We will have fun tasting Curds and Whey!

Friday: We will read Mary had a Little Lamb and add another page to our books.

Show and Tell:
Monday- Sanjay and Deyon
Tuesday- Linnea and Ella
Wednesday- Sadie and Levi
Please have your child bring in something that relates to the above theme. Be creative! ( perhaps a little lamb, a spider, a candlestick). Does your child have any books on Nursery Rhymes? Please bring them in so we can share them with our friends!

Vocabulary: Jack-Be-Nimble, beside, frightened, curds and whey, tuffet, steam, handle, spout, teapot, wool, lamb, cracked, quick, candlestick, Humpty Dumpty, King, Queen, men, Mary had a Little Lamb, to follow.
