Dear Families,
Wow! It is hard to believe that we are approaching the end of October! Where did the month go?
The students are growing and learning and I delight to see them chattering to each other and using their language in natural settings.
We are going to have some fun this week as we explore the concept of Halloween, Fall treats and looking at the changes of the season (Fall leaves, hopefully not snowflakes!)
Here is a Peek of the Week:
Monday: We will have fun creating some beautiful leaf rubbings.
Tuesday: Who can make the silliest Pumpkin Faces? We will cut out various paper pumpkins and make each one unique!
Wednesday: Miss Tanya will be our own favorite Witch as she stirs up her bubbling Witch's Brew! This will be a Group Activity
Thursday: We will make some Edible Spiders...Yummy
Friday: Come and Join us for our Halloween Party!
The kids will have fun going from station to station playing games and getting treats! Your student is encourage to wear a costume.
Happy Halloween!!
Here is the vocab.- owl, squash, pumpkins, pumpkin patch, fairy, trick or treating, spider, candy corn, witches, pumpkin seeds, spooky/scary, clown, bat, skeleton, ghost, carve, jack-o-lantern, mask.
Show and Tell
Children are encourage to bring items that relate to our theme. For ideas, bring books, pumpkins, various fall vegetables, a part of a costume etc.
Show and Tell is an important time for the students as they get very excited to show what they have brought and use their language to give clues about what they have hidden in their back packs.
