Howdy Families!
Here we are in our second week of the Funny Farm. We had so much fun last week with our trip to the Dodge Nature Center. The children were able to have some hands-on experiences to touching the animals and jumping in the hay! They learn so much by going on these special field trips.
This week will continue with the theme and then move into some May Day experiences.
The months are flying by and the children are growing day by day.
Here is a Peek of the Week
Monday- We will have fun sheering a pretend sheep and learning about all the things we can get from wool.
Tuesday- We will get our hands dirty by planting a garden from a variety of vegetable and flower seeds, just like the farmer does on the farm.
Wednesday- We will collect some eggs from the chicken coop, and then make a scrambled egg breakfast.
Thursday- We will create some beautiful tissue paper flowers.
Friday- Happy May Day! We will make some May Day baskets and deliver them to our friends!
Show and Tell
Tuesday- Mae and Matteo
Wednesday- Zachary and Lucy
Thursday- Nick and Mitchell
Please bring in any items that relates to our theme of the Farm. See the vocab for ideas! If you have any garden gloves for Tuesday that would be great to bring them in for your child.
Some of the vocab will include these words...goat, sheep, overalls, rooster, gardening, tools, tractor, plow, farmer, farm, fence, field/pasture, chicken coop, haystack, wagon, pond, pig pen, hay, and silo.
