Hi!
For this week I would like you to help your child be creative by finding something that represents a room in your house. For example: a screwdriver from the garage, or a gadget from the kitchen, or maybe something from their bedroom. Have fun! They can bring in more than one item!
Thanks!

The More We Get Together and Apple Orchard

Hi! Fall is in the air and we are getting ready to examine what Autumn is really like with all the changes! As the seasons change, we change too! Your children are growing and learning everyday! It is fun to see them develop and learn new things!
This week we are looking at our homes and our families.
We are learning about relationships and our responsibilities within a relationship.
How does your special child add to your family? Does your child have some responsibilities in your home?
As your child grows, becoming independent and feeling like they can contribute to the family is important. Even though your child is still in his/her early years of development, they can start to help Mom and Dad with daily chores. This will boost their self-esteem!
Here is a Peek at our Week!
Monday- We will be reading the story of Goldilocks and the 3 Bears
Tuesday - We will read about another family..The 3 Little Pigs
Wednesday- We will construct some creative houses made with Graham crackers and pretzels.
Thursday- We will be getting ready for our apple field trip and making some homemade applesauce.
Friday - Our field trip to the Dodge Nature Center has be re-scheduled for today!
Dress your children for some outdoor fun as we learn about apples and the walk through the apple orchard.
Some of the vocab will include a reviewing of last week's words on apples. Additional words will include: Family, house, chimney, roof, shingles, driveway, garage, living room, basement, kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, family room, driveway, front yard, backyard.
