Pets

This week we will be having some fun talking about pets and animal care. If you are pet owners, you already know the benefits children receive from having a furry companion. Now is a good time to allow your child to take part in being responsible for some duties in pet care. Your children love to be helpers, and are old enough to handle a small job, as in walking the dog, feeding the fish, brushing the cat. We will talk this week about proper care and also have fun learning what kind of tricks our pets can do!
For Show and Tell please have your child bring in their favorite stuffed animal as we will be having a Pet Show on Thursday. If you are a pet owner, your child can bring in a photo of their furry friend, or anything that relates to our theme.

Monday- We will have fun creating critters out of Play-Doh.

Tuesday- Dramatic play. We will be acting out the role of a Veterinarian.

Wednesday- We will make some edible Puppy Chow.

Thursday- We will be having a Pet Show. Please remember to bring in a stuffed animal.

Friday- We will make creative creatures with Milk Bones!

Some of the Vocab words will include: cage/kennel, leash, dog bowl, hamster, aquarium, veterinarian, puppy, kitten, dog brush, groomer, Pet Show, obedience shcool, trainer, beg, rabbit.
